USB Turn Table - User Guide
How to record MP3’s using the USB Turn Table
This basic user guide shows how to transfer vinyl records to MP3 format using your USB Turn Table and the Microsoft Windows Version of the Audacity software provided. The process involved is very similar when using other audio software and operating systems.
Step 1
In the edit menu click the ‘Preferences’ tab. Select the audio devices appropriate to your needs.
Step 2
Prepare your vinyl on the USB turn table and click the ‘Record’ button to start the recording.
Step 3
Press play on the USB turn table to start your vinyl. Once your song/album has ended you can stop recording. Now you can make any adjustments you require to the recording made.
Step 4
At this point you must have LAME installed. If you do not already have this already it can be downloaded free (search Google). Select “Export as MP3…” from the ‘File’ menu.
Step 5
If this is the first time you have saved as an MP3 you will be asked to locate the LAME library on your computer. Do this using the file browser.
Step 6
Enjoy! Your MP3’s are now ready to do whatever you want with. You can copy them to a CD, MP3 Player, i-pod or just listen to them on your computer.
